Chelsea vs Man United

Out-of-Form Chelsea are to host Manchester United for the fierce battle of Football between these two rivals!
This Match was postponed from December last year to 1 March 2011 as a result of heavy snow. After that the bad times for the Blues started as they consistently lost the matches and were very unsuccessful in gaining more points from their fixtures, meanwhile after a bad start, Man U started a good run, and now, the hosts for this fixture, Chelsea are 15-Points behind the table leader Man United. Red Devils, who thrashed Wigan in their latest fixture by 4-0, are no doubt in very good form, especially in away fixtures!

Even with the transfer of around 75 Millions, Chelsea were unsuccessful in creating good results! They landed Torres to their soil, even with the good striker and the defender Luiz, Chelsea are still to gain their Momentum!
This fixture will be held in Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, 1st March 2011! We certainly cant underestimate the quality Chelsea have, and to keep in mind the setbacks in Premier League fixtures, and with the help of home crowd, Chelsea can put hurdles to Man United for their title run!

Dean Richards pronounced Dead!

The 36-Years-Old died yesterday after fighting a long illness, which forced him to retire from the game at the age of 30. He was one of the good defenders for the Spurs lineup who started his career at Bradford City. He moved to Wolves for £1.85million in 1995 and four years later he moved to Southampton. And two years later he made the biggest move of his career to Tottenham for £8.1million.

Unfortunately he never really fulfilled his potential during his career because of persistent injury problems. It was a shame but he still enjoyed a good career within the game. He is fondly remembered by everybody who had the pleasure to watch him play.

He is a big lost in the football world, and we, all soccer fans will miss him very much. May his soul Rest in Peace!

Carling Cup Final

All eyes on Monday night at Wembley! Where the final of Carling Cup will be held, between the two sides: Arsenal vs Birmingham City!!!

It was 21st May 2005, when Arsenal won any major Silverware, after that, the highly depressed trophy drought started for any Gunner fan! And talking about trophy drought, Birmingham is 48 years without a title!!! Both teams hungry for success, and will march their men on Wembley to prove themselves a successful team.

There is no doubt about that, Arsenal is favorite to win this fixture! Having said that, their star players will miss the fixture due to injuries, which include:
Cesc Fabregas, Theo Walcott, Robin van Persie and Laurent Koscielny. This will be a heavy blow for Wenger, who himself is very confident about their victory.
Whereas Birmingham City themselves face an injury woes, as it is not confirmed that, former Gunner, Hleb might play this fixture!
Arsenal, who defeated Barcelona in Champions League, will look forward to win this final, and get their first Silverware of the season.
